Bryan County High School celebrated the 34th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day on February 5 with a luncheon and guest speaker for our female student athletes. This day is designed to inspire girls and women to play and be active, and to realize their full power. The confidence and character gained through sports are the valuable tools they need to become strong leaders in sports and life. Coach Olivia Melvin of Coastal Georgia basketball joined us for our celebration and spoke to our girls about achieving their goals and striving to be the best they can be. Olivia Melvin played basketball at Bryan County High and was a key part to our state playoff runs/region title in 2009-2011.
